Facilities: Indoor, heated, 8 lane 50 meter pool with movable bulkhead. Meet will be held in 25 yard course with non-turbulent lane ropes. Pool depth 16 feet in deep end, 4 feet in shallow end. All races will take place in the deep end. Separate warm up area available. The competitive course has been certified in accordance with USA Swimming Technical Rule 104.2.2C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming.
Timing: Colorado automatic timing system with touch pads will be the primary system. Secondary system will be manual/electronic with 1 button and 1 digital watch per lane.
Rules: Conduct of this sanctioned event shall conform in every respect to all technical and administrative rules of USA Swimming and Louisiana Swimming.
Disability: Swimmers with a disability as described in the USA Swimming technical rules, Article 105, shall be permitted to enter any meet sanctioned by Louisiana Swimming Inc.
Entry Fees $3.50 per event plus
$5.00 Louisiana Swimming surcharge; make check payable to Swim New Orleans, d/b/a NuWave Swim Club
Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of the meet director, and will cost an additional $7.00 per individual event.

Deadline All meet entries are due by Friday, December 28, 2012. Please submit entries in Hy Tek format, via e-mail to andrew.nuwave@gmail.com.
Eligibility No entrant will be permitted to compete unless the entrant is a member of USA Swimming as provided in Article 302. Swimmer’s age as of January 5, 2013, determines age for the meet. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
Coaches Athletes must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and warm-down. If required, the Meet Director or Meet Referee can assist an athlete in making arrangements for such supervision. Coaches and officials must constantly display their current USA Swimming credential or be prepared to present their USA Swimming ID card as proof of their registration to the Meet Director or designee at any time. The meet referee reserves the right to ask for coach credential display and/or deny deck access if coach does not comply or card is no longer valid or current.
Officials Nu Wave would appreciate officiating help from visiting teams. If available, please contact the Meet Director. All meet directors, referees, starters, and stroke and turn judges, serving in an official capacity must be members of USA Swimming.
Conduct All timed final events will be swum slowest to fastest. In order to provide better competition for everyone, and save time by eliminating empty lanes, all age groups, and male and female events, will be combined. Swimmers will be seeded by time.
Entries Each swimmer may enter a maximum of five individual events on Saturday and three individual events on Sunday. Meet management reserves the right to limit meet size to comply with Louisiana Swimming, Inc.'s four-hour rule. Meet management reserves the right to limit the number of entries per event. If entries in a particular event are limited, meet management will use the criteria of fastest entry (seed) times. If entries are limited, meet management will use the criteria of first received basis. All entries received after this time will be promptly returned.
Scoring Individual scores will be based on the IMX Power Point Calculator (www.usaswimming.org). The athlete in each age group with the highest point total will be the Nu Wave Xtreme IMX Champion for that age group. If a swimmer wants to swim events in addition to the IMX series or in lieu of it, he may do so if within the entry limit for the day. Any swimmer failing to swim all IMX events in his/her age group will not be considered in the IMX rankings.
The events required per age group to compete in the IMX rankings are as follows:
9 & under; 10 year olds: 200 IM, 200 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 100 fly
11 year olds; 12 year olds: 200 IM, 500 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 100 fly
13, 14, 15, 16, 17,18 year olds: 200 IM, 400 IM, 500 free, 200 back, 200 breast, 200 fly
Awards Awards will be given to the Nu Wave IMX Xtreme Champion, girl and boy, in each age group above. Overall awards will also be given to the top three girls and boys among all age groups, based upon overall IMX Power Points. In the Saturday afternoon session, participant ribbons will be given to all 10 & U swimmers. In addition, ribbons will be given in all events for the 1st-3rd place finishers in the following age groups: 6 & U, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12.

Timers Each team will be required to supply timers based on the number of entries received.
Privacy Use of audio or visual recording devices, including cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms.
